Computer Services
Personal Computers
The Library has three IBM compatible microcomputers available for patron use. These computers are connected to InkJet Printers.
The IBM compatibles have a variety of programs including Microsoft Office and Wordperfect Office Suite on their hard drive. Tax preparation programs are also available on the computers at tax time.
Computer Software
The Library has over 2000 computer programs for circulation. The programs are for IBM, IBM compatibles, and Macintosh computers. Most programs circulate for one week and two pieces of software per family are allowed at one time. Some of the more popular software, such as tax programs, are subject to a three day loan period. The library is circulating this software to enable patrons to try programs they might eventually purchase through a retailer. As with all our collections, recommendations for purchase are welcome.
